Why do we like this?

First of all, you’re gonna need a headlamp.  Period.  We’ve tried dozens from Amazon and Ebay, and some worked just fine… and most didn’t.  We really thought that the ones with the multiple lamps were the way to go.  However, we quickly learned that they didn’t offer any more “light” than a good one with a single lamp.  On top of that, the multiple lamp versions just didn’t run very long.  So, we ended up charging them all the time and getting short run times.  So, we did a lot of looking until we found one we really, really liked.  And it’s this one!  Yes, it is a single Cree lamp, but folks it does an awesome job at light output.  You can even adjust the “throw” from wide angle to a narrow focus beam by just turning the end (which you can do even while wearing gloves).  We’ve worked on changing tires in the rain with this thing on– remember we said you’re gonna need a headlamp!  Hey, we do run out these from time to time, so, just order it on backorder.  That way we will send it out to you as soon as we get it back in.
